Cookie Policy

Arlo uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the product working. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not allow ad networks to set cookies through our site.

This policy covers both our marketing site (arlotv.ai) and the Arlo product (app.arlotv.ai). The two behave differently, and we say which is which below.

What we set

• Strictly necessary. A session cookie that keeps you signed in, preserves your conversation across page loads, and stores an anonymous user token used to attribute referral clicks to the streaming platform you visit. Without these the product does not work.
• Preferences. A small cookie that remembers whether you have the trailer preview muted, and other UI state.
• Third-party analytics — none, anywhere. Neither the marketing site nor the product loads Google Analytics, Tag Manager, advertising or social pixels, session recorders, or any other third-party tracker. No outside vendor receives your IP address or device identifiers because you visited us. If that ever changes we will update this list and the date above before it ships.

How the product measures itself

The marketing site records nothing about you — it loads no analytics or tracking scripts at all. The Arlo product does log your interactions, but only to Arlo's own servers (api.arlotv.ai). Nothing is sent to a third party.

What the product logs when you use it:

• Which titles were shown to you, which cards you tapped, which chat results you acted on, and when you followed a link out to a streaming platform.
• A session identifier, the title and streaming provider involved, which surface you were on, and roughly how long a session ran.

We use this for two things: making your recommendations better, and showing streaming platforms how much traffic Arlo sent them. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to build a profile of you across other websites. Our Privacy Policy describes this in full, including your choices.

Embedded trailers

Trailers play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set advertising cookies for playback. Once you press play, YouTube receives the request under its own policy.

What we do not set

• No advertising or remarketing cookies.
• No social-login pixels (Meta, X, LinkedIn, etc.) unless you choose to sign in with that provider — in which case the provider sets its own cookies subject to its own policy.
• No third-party tag managers (GTM) injecting unknown vendor scripts.

Streaming platforms

When you tap a result card we redirect you to a third-party streaming platform. That platform sets its own cookies under its own policy. We have no control over those.

Choices

Most browsers let you reject cookies in settings. Rejecting strictly-necessary cookies will break the product. Other cookies can be cleared without losing functionality.

Changes

If we add or remove cookie categories we'll update this list and bump the date at the top of the page.
