What's protected (general)
The pending patent protects, among other things, the methods by which Arlo enables:
- Natural-language intent — as the primary query modality for video discovery, without a browse grid, category navigation, or platform pre-selection.
- Semantic vector embedding of free-form user expressions, processed by a language model.
- A unified cross-catalog vector index aggregating content from a plurality of independent streaming services, queryable without per-platform API calls at query time.
- AI-agent-mediated discovery — a third-party assistant (Claude, Siri, ChatGPT, or equivalent) submitting structured discovery requests on behalf of a user and receiving a curated recommendation set without the user touching a streaming-service UI.
- Multi-tenant catalog scoping with per-tenant filter enforcement.
The full scope is defined by the pending claims. Specific claim language is not published here.
